Welcome! This is a challenge, an experiment to see if this new (to me anyway) thing called 'blogging' is therapeutic, able to act as a catharsis, to purge that which obscures the clarity of rational thought. Ideally, it would be another way to connect with other souls experiencing the same kinds of successes, failures, rewards and self-doubts that seems to be part and parcel of the proclamation - "I am an artist." I wonder, what if Van Gogh had the ability to blog?
Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely grateful that I have what everyone seems to call 'talent'. I just wonder sometimes what it would be like to not have an ovewhelming drive to create. What would it be like to punch the clock everyday, and be content with it? I've been told all my life "You're so creative!" and "I wish I had talent like you." That's always puzzled me because if I can do it, certainly everyone else can. The fact of the matter, everyone does have talent and everyone is creative. It's just that we're all talented and creative in different ways. Thank heavens for that!
